Poor Devil Pepper Co. is us! Laura Webster & Jared Schwartz. We've been making hot sauce since 2014. Our plan was to create the most flavorful hot sauce out there, free of additives and vinegar. So we made a raw, fermented hot sauce that uses only fresh, organic vegetables, organic seasonings and Celtic sea salt. We apply the same fermentation process as sauerkraut to the peppers which requires a 6-8 week fermenting period.
We decided on the top four recipes that make up the Poor Devil line after many hot sauce experiments and feedback from friends and family. Jared works on research and development for future sauces and Laura is out there talking fermentation and running the marketing. The hot sauce is packed with flavor and uses ingredients from local, organic farms in the Hudson Valley. These days you can find us popping up at local spots in the Hudson Valley, selling tacos as El Sueno. Check our EVENTS on where to find us.
